| Italy |
|
| |
|
| Italy: See Ancient and Christian Rome; the Forum,
the Coliseum, the Pantheon, St.Peter’s and the Vatican, the Sistine
Chapel. Travel up to Florence to experience the perfect Renaissance city
with more art than can possibly be taken in, in one visit. It is in the
heart of Tuscany, with its olive groves, hill villages and vineyards
and the food is to die for! Wind up in Venice, known as ‘La Serenissima’;
nothing can prepare you for that first magical view of the city as you
cruise up the Grand Canal. For those who have done the well-trodden paths
of Rome, Florence and Venice, why not let us introduce you to ‘hidden
Italy’, Le Marche and Puglia. Le Marche has been called ‘the
new Tuscany’; it is incredibly beautiful and totally unspoilt;
in short, it is Tuscany 30 years ago. Puglia is in the deep south,
the heel of Italy, has wonderful food, beaches and pottery and
a complete contrast to the more visited parts of Italy. |
